SUB GENRES:

BIO:
Hi, I'm Christina!
I'm an Amazon Top 50 bestselling author of fun Rom Coms and quirky Romantic Suspense. I believe laughter really is the best medicine, which is why I blend a healthy dose of hilarious hijinks in all my stories.
When I'm not writing, I can be found devouring books in every genre, watching Chris Hemsworth on TV, playing board games with my family, working out, checking out Chris Hemsworth on Facebook, napping, stalking Chris Hemsworth on Instagram, and shopping…for Chris Hemsworth’s latest DVD.
I live near Baltimore with my husband, two young sons, and a very elderly weiner dog who give me an endless supply of humorous material to write about.
I can't wait to pay it forward and help you in your own writing journey!
MSWL:
I’m looking for any of the following:
- High-concept books with a strong hook
- Action-packed stories
- Laugh-out-loud, snappy, banter-filled rom-coms
- Smart heroines and book boyfriend-worthy love interests
- Any retellings of movies, books, etc. I'm a HUGE sucker for retellings!
- Enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, fake dating/marriage, and he falls first tropes are my catnip
- I love a good love triangle (especially in YA and NA)
- I love workplace romances (especially if they are competitors/rivals)
- Bring all the quirky!!
- Make me laugh and make me swoon
- I welcome all heat levels
- Some of my fav authors (in no particular order): Lynn Painter, Abby Jimenez, Julie James, Jennifer L. Armentrout, M.D. Waters/Misty D. Waters, Jill Shalvis, Lucy Score, Lori Foster, Sally Thorne, Sarah Adams, Elle Kennedy, Ali Hazelwood, Katherine Center, Julia Quinn
I’m not the best fit for:
- Dark romance or pregnancy tropes
MENTORING STYLE
I’m an open book and transparent. I tend to comment on EVERYTHING (i.e., if a line or scene makes me laugh, I'll let you know; when something makes me swoon, I'll let you know; when something doesn't quite feel right, I'll mention it so we can chat it out and figure out how to fix).
I absolutely love helping and sharing my knowledge about my own publishing journey. I want you to feel supported and I want you to feel like you have someone in your corner. I'm super introverted in public, but in small groups (and especially one-on-one) I'm very talkative and confident. I'm available whenever/however works for you.
I want to mentor someone who is eager to learn and is open to suggestions. However, anything I suggest is up to you to decide if it's right for your story. I'd love for us to continue beyond SmoochPit and help one another add to our networks. I've met some of the best people in this industry, and I'd love to count you as one of them!
I work from home and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I'm available to brainstorm or talk through any plot issues at your convenience.
I look forward to working with you!
APPLICATIONS FROM CONNECTIONS
I don't have preferences regarding who may submit to me, even if we have connected in the past.
