BIO:

Hi! I’m Liana and I’m a USA Today Bestselling author of historical romance. My current Latinx Victorian romance series, The Luna Sisters, which includes ANA MARÍA AND THE FOX and ISABEL AND THE ROGUE, is published with Berkley. I have been represented by Rebecca Strauss of DeFiore and Company since 2018. When I’m not writing, I’m hyperfixating on a new topic or listening to true crime podcasts while wrangling my spirited brood of children with my husband in Arizona.

As historical romance is my first love, I would love to read historical submissions, especially if they feature a unique historical perspectives or settings. However, I also love romcoms, contemporaries, romantasies, and paranormal romances. I am not the best fit for dark romance, why choose, or particularly violent stories, sexual and otherwise. I'm interested in working with historically marginalized writers on books with marginalized characters.

MENTORING STYLE

I like to provide thorough feedback in a direct, but kind manner. We're all insecure writers, so I try my best to cushion my critiques with plenty of praise. I also enjoy brainstorming or plotting sessions, and recognize that simply talking out a problem can lead to a solution. I'm open to panicked DMs or spontaneous questions, and if I can't respond in depth in the moment, I will communicate my availability as soon as possible.
