Smoochpit bio add: I'm all about the fall, football, and connecting with people! My favorite genres to read are historical fiction, women's fiction, and romance. I'm a history buff. I collect Starbucks mugs from the "you are here,"collection. I was a professional classical Indian dancer when I was younger. I have a baby girl whose middle name means "born from fire."
MSWL:
I'm a huge fan of tropes like friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and star-crossed loves. Love multicultural stories, stories in different parts of the world and sports stories/romances with a twist! I'd love to read strong female characters who put people in their place. For comparative purposes, my favorite authors are Jodi Picoult, Emily Giffin, Sonali Dev, CW Gortner, and more.
I'm not a fan of fantasy, dark romance, monsters, or paranormal stories (unless they're a crazy twist in the plot like Jodi Picoult's Leaving Time).
MENTORING STYLE
Collaborative - I'm not going to go heavily editorial, but I do like bouncing ideas and hearing what people have to say about why they made certain decisions. I used to be a teacher so I'm big on using examples or working through issues together.
APPLICATIONS FROM CONNECTIONS
I don't have a preference regarding who may submit to me, even if we have connected in the past.
